Sarah Palin

Whatever else her candidacy means, I
think she has freed a lot of women to be
women. Grey old Republican men have
not been effective at articulating an alternative
to abortion frenzied liberal women. The
Bible says, "All they who hate me love death,"
but death has been portrayed as the ultimate
act of love for so long time now that folks have
either bought into it or are too afraid
to challenge it. The argument for freedom-
through-abortion has been powerful, but
ultimately empty and vain. Along comes
Sarah Palin. Her motto appears to be,
"I walk at liberty for I seek thy precepts."
She is glowing and happy - regret and
guilt free. She is what, I think, a lot
of women wish they were.
